To request an event that will be held under the auspices of Kol Rinah, please follow these steps:
1. You may request an event up to 6 months** in advance. Check the online Kol Rinah calendars (click this link) to make sure that the date of your event does not conflict with another event and there is appropriate space available. If the event is expected to have wide community appeal for the St. Louis Jewish community, also check the online Jewish community calendar (click this link) to make sure there are no major conflicts.
**EXCEPTION: Reserving a Shabbat may require more than 6 months of advanced notice. To reserve a Shabbat for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah; major celebration; or for any other reason (e.g. Men’s Club Shabbat), please email Executive Director David Weber at (firstname.lastname@example.org.).
2. Complete the form below and press submit. KR staff will respond to the event contact person listed on the form. When the event is approved, the KR office will ad the event to the KR program calendar.
(Optional: Click here for the entire process including how Kol Rinah does the vetting, responds to schedule conflicts, etc.)
3. The communications committee will coordinate a marketing/publicity plan with the contact person listed on the form. All events receive a flyer created by Gary Kodner to be placed/publicized in the Shabbat sheet; announced on the bima; listed in the weekly e-mails; sent to the Jewish Light;listed in the VOICE/EXTRA; listed on the website; and placed on the lobby TV. This will be done 30 days prior to the date of the event. NO publicity or listing on the KR calendar can begin without the office receiving an Event Request Form.
