KRECC is loving this Winter weather. Although the colder days have mostly kept us inside, we have been able to bundle up in our coats, hats, and mittens and go outside some afternoons. One of the days that it snowed, our teachers were able to gather some snow in buckets and bring it inside for the children to look at and touch.

For Tu B'Shevat, classes spent time reading books like Sammy Spider's First Tu B'Shevat and Dear Tree. In classroom imagination station areas were staged with materials like flower pots, watering cans, and fake flowers and trees so that children could pretend to plant and care for them. Finally, classes used pretzels and grapes at snack time to make edible trees.
