Our school year at Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center is off to a great start! With the Jewish holidays starting a little earlier this school year, we jumped right into learning, exploring and celebrating.    We had an incredible Grandparents Shabbat in early September in honor of Grandparent’s Day. We had such a great summer here at Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center. Each class planned activities around the summer theme, “Around the world in 80 days”. Students spent time visiting the Australian Outback, the Rolling Hills of Ireland, Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, Kotel in Israel, and so much more.   We are so excited for the 2023-2024 school year. On Friday, May 12th, we had a wonderful Starfish graduation ceremony. Families gathered in The Michael Staenberg Family Community Hall to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduates. The Starfish performed a play based on the book, Caps for Sale. They also sang and danced to songs that they had learned throughout the year with Ms. Karen Kern, our Music teacher and Ms. Sarah Anne Patz, our Music and Movement teacher. Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center has been busy the last few months with holidays.   On March 7th, ECC families paraded together to the Kol Rinah Community Hall for a Purim Family Program. The children were adorable in their costumes. In December, families joined us at the center for a family program that included Hanukkah related crafts in classrooms and a sing along with Ms. Karen Kern. Rabbi Noah Arnow also joined our program and sang the blessing for lighting the menorah.   In February, classes celebrated Tu BiShvat. In November, the Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center experienced its first family program at the new center. A few days before Thanksgiving, children, parents, and grandparents joined together in the sanctuary for a fall musical sing-along with Ms. Karen. Fall is always such a wonderful time for our ECC. All of our classes have officially settled into this school year and have gotten acquainted with teachers, friends, and class routine. As you walk down the hallway, classrooms are decorated for Fall. Trees displayed in classroom windows that once had green leaves are now adorned with red, orange, yellow and brown leaves. We had a wonderful summer at Monica Lynne Neidorff ECC. Classes spent time exploring weekly themes through books that covered a variety of topics including feelings, music, friendship, and so much more.
