Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center has been busy the last few months with holidays.   On March 7th, ECC families paraded together to the Kol Rinah Community Hall for a Purim Family Program. In December, families joined us at the center for a family program that included Hanukkah related crafts in classrooms and a sing along with Ms. Karen Kern. Rabbi Noah Arnow also joined our program and sang the blessing for lighting the menorah.   In February, classes celebrated Tu BiShvat. In November, the Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center experienced its first family program at the new center. A few days before Thanksgiving, children, parents, and grandparents joined together in the sanctuary for a fall musical sing-along with Ms. Karen. Fall is always such a wonderful time for our ECC. All of our classes have officially settled into this school year and have gotten acquainted with teachers, friends, and class routine. As you walk down the hallway, classrooms are decorated for Fall. Trees displayed in classroom windows that once had green leaves are now adorned with red, orange, yellow and brown leaves. We had a wonderful summer at Monica Lynne Neidorff ECC. Classes spent time exploring weekly themes through books that covered a variety of topics including feelings, music, friendship, and so much more. On Friday, May 20th, we had a wonderful Starfish graduation ceremony. It was our first official program celebrated in our new building. In the Sanctuary, families gathered and listened with joyful hearts as the Starfish children demonstrated their accomplishments. MLNECC has been filled with such fun and excitement the last couple of months. In March, classes celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a week filled with silly dress up days and a classroom door decorating contest. In January, classes celebrated Tu B’Shevat. Throughout the week, lots of singing of “Happy Birthday to the trees” could be heard in the hallways. Teachers brought in planters and parsley seeds for the children to plant in the hopes that they sprout in time for Passover. We had a wonderful fall season of learning here at Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center. During circle time classes could be heard singing songs about autumn leaves falling to the ground, listening to stories read to them, and “raking” up fake leaves scattered around the room into piles. We are so fortunate and blessed to have started our 2021-2022 school year in our new center.
