Our Voices of Joyous Song
One of the reasons we chose the name Kol Rinah for our community is that gathering to sing and create new music together has been a foundational part of who we are since the beginning. In Hebrew, Kol Rinah (קול רינה) means "voices of joy & gladness," and whether we are together for Shabbat or holidays, in good times or in hard times, lifting our voices in song is our way to connect to one another.
Below, you can listen to some of the songs we love and use in our community. We hope you learning some new melodies, or enjoying old favorites, will help you connect with us, with your own Jewish voice, and with the Source of Life and Blessing. Enjoy!
Kol Chadash - A Shabbat Morning Prototype
Music. Harmony. Joy. Spirit. We are always looking for new ways to help our entire Kol Rinah community find spiritual meaning and fulfillment. Please join us as we come together virtually to explore a new kind of prayer experience. On Saturday morning, February 27, in place of our regular service, Kol Rinah will be streaming a special service led by Rabbi Arnow, Rabbi Shafrin, and Karen Kern that will feature music with acoustic instruments. We will bring together new melodies and words of Torah to create what we hope will be a deep and moving experience. We'll be focusing on some particular prayers and words, and only including parts that don't require a minyan. Watch, sing and be with us from 9:30-11:30am, and share your feedback!
