November 2022 News

Fall is always such a wonderful time for our ECC. All of our classes have officially settled into this school year and have gotten acquainted with teachers, friends, and class routine. As you walk down the hallway, classrooms are decorated for Fall. Trees displayed in classroom windows that once had green leaves are now adorned with red, orange, yellow and brown leaves. Some of the leaves are dangling from the trees and some have fallen on the ground like you see when you walk outside. Classes could also be heard singing songs about Autumn leaves falling down and seen "raking" fake leaves into a pile to jump in.

In addition to learning, discussing, and creating artwork reflecting the changes in nature during the Fall, teachers were excited to share about the holidays of Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. Teachers spent time reading stories to the children about the holidays, showed them traditional symbols related to the holidays, and presented sensory bins filled with apples and bees, participated in an apple and honey tasting, and created holiday related artwork.
