November 2023 News

Our school year at Monica Lynne Neidorff Early Childhood Center is off to a great start! With the Jewish holidays starting a little earlier this school year, we jumped right into learning, exploring and celebrating.

We had an incredible Grandparents Shabbat in early September in honor of Grandparent’s Day. During Rosh Hashanah, Rabbi Arnow visited the classrooms to blow the shofar for the children to hear. Classes also tasted a variety of flavors of apples to find their favorite, dipped the apples in honey for a yummy treat, and then created beautiful artwork by dipping the apples in red, green, and yellow paint and stamping them on paper. Then for Sukkot, Rabbi Arnow stopped by classrooms once again, but this time to show a lulav and etrog and give each child the chance to shake them.

In the next couple of weeks I am excited for the classes to be learning about the creation of the world, Noah and the ark, and so much more. Then before you know it we will be celebrating Thanksgiving and Hanukkah.
