Baking Donuts with Grace

In preparation for Chanukah, Grace Cooperstein will lead us in an interactive demonstration making donuts! An ingredient list and recipe will be provided so join in and bake with her. This event is open to all, young and old.

List of Ingredients

For the donuts

2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 1/4 cups whole milk

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the topping

1 stick unsalted butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Equipment you will need:

Oven
Doughnut baking pans or cupcake pan and tinfoil
Sifter
Medium Bowl
Wisk
Large Bowl
Pot for melting butter
1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1 measuring cups
1/4. 1/3, 1/2, 1 measuring teaspoons
Measuring tablespoon
