Dear Kol Rinah Family,
This Wednesday evening begins the new month of Tammuz, and with it a rapid slide into summer. Both the starting of a new month and the onset of summer are typically joyous occasions, and while this summer may still look a little different than summers past, there is plenty to be excited about. People are getting vaccinated more and more, a wealth of different activities and events are opening up safely, people are starting to be able to see vaccinated family and friends, some of whom they have not been with in person for a year and a half.
Here at Kol Rinah, we have much to celebrate as well. Our offices are moving to the new building this Monday, and we are all incredibly excited to settle into our new space on the 3rd floor. A HUGE thank you to Stacey Hudson for coordinating this move and to Meir Zimand, Nancy Greene, and Micki Kingsley for all of their incredible work this past week packing up the office and getting us ready to move over!
Construction on our ECC is also moving full steam ahead and on schedule. There is an incredible amount of work and effort being put into making the space ready for our young kiddos this fall. A big thank you also to Liz Collins and her entire staff for all of their work getting our ECC packed up and preparing our families for our new amazing space in our Maryland building.
I know that many of us are moving slowly and looking to re-enter our pre-pandemic activities at our own pace. Please know that we are here to support you in whatever you need, that we are committed to conduct all of our programing safely, with the help of our incredible Reopenning Taskforce and medical advisors, and that we are excited to see all of you as much as possible, whether on Zoom, outside, or in our new, gorgeous building.
Shabbat Shalom and Chodesh Tov,
Rabbi Scott Shafrin
