Dear Kol Rinah Family,
It has been a difficult week for our entire world. The invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, in violation of international law, has led to devastating casualties, a population under siege in their homes, and attacks on both innocent civilians and neighborhoods throughout the country. I have been shocked to watch both the startling brutality of these attacks, but also awed at the continual courage of the Ukrainian people and all of those who have donated time, money, resources, and anything they can to help defend Ukraine.
If you would like to help, you can find several organizations below who have set up campaigns specifically to send funds and resources directly to the areas in which they are most needed:

But not everything we see around us has been going wrong. I have been happy to watch as COVID case numbers and positivity rates have declined over the last few weeks. While we are certainly not out of the woods yet, and new infections continue throughout our community, things seem to be trending in a better direction.
Which is why we are so excited to be back in person for Kabbalat Shabbat this Friday night! We are planning to bring in Shabbat with some joy and song back in the sanctuary starting at 6:00pm this evening.
We will also be expanding our sanctuary capacity back to 50% starting this Shabbat. Masks will still be required when entering the building for any reason and we are still requiring proof of vaccination, as well as registration for services. If you have any questions, or want the most up-to-date information on our COVID-19 safety protocols, please feel free to check our website call the office (314-727-1747).

We would like to wish a huge mazal tov to Jared Snyder, as well as his parents, Al Snyder and Sharon Rosenberg, his brother Ryan Snyder, and his grandparents Alan and Donna Rosenberg, on Jared's upcoming bar mitzvah this Shabbat. We are looking forward to celebrating together!
