Dear Kol Rinah Family,
This is it; the time is here.
We have reached the very last Shabbat of 5782, and are poised to begin the new year of 5783 on Sunday night with the start of Rosh Hashanah. Over the last many months, the incredible staff of Kol Rinah, along with our Board, leadership, and an army of amazing volunteers, have been hard at work preparing for the Days of Awe. I want to give them all the credit and recognition in the world for their dedicated work, their tireless efforts, and their creativity, which I know will make these High Holidays a welcoming, meaningful, and joyful celebration for our entire community.
One of the most wonderful parts of these holidays is the chance to get to see, meet, greet, pray with, sign with, and learn with the wonderful individuals in our community. If you see someone you have not met, go up and say hello! One of the many reasons we wear name tags on the High Holidays is to allow people to get to know one another, and we encourage you, throughout these Days of Awe, to talk with someone new, get to know someone a little better, and spend time building connections throughout our community.
If you have questions or concerns, there will be ushers and greeters in various places around both services and in the building who can help you. If you would like to know more about Kol Rinah, the community, the plans we have for this year, or how you can get more involved, come find Rabbi Arnow or me, or any of our Board members, who would be more than happy to meet you and fill you in.
Below, you will find a link to all of our information for the High Holidays, including a schedule for services from erev Rosh Hashanah on Sunday evening all the way through the end of Simchat Torah on Tuesday, October 18. You can also find other logistical information for these holidays on the website as well.

We want these holidays to create a safe space for prayer, song, joyous gathering, learning, and creating relationships and memories to sustain us all year long. In that way, we hope and pray it will be a sweet new year for us all!
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Scott Shafrin
