Dear Kol Rinah Family,
Gathering together is an amazing joy, a way to share our lives a little bit at a time, in moments both ordinary and profound. But sometimes, we know that we cannot always gather together in the same place. Whether someone is ill or injured, out of town, taking care of their own health and safety, or just not able to make it, we know that it is critical to be able to have multiple ways for our community, and everyone in it, to be able to gather.
With that in mind, I am thrilled to be able to share that our new live-streaming service will be up and running as of this Shabbat. This means that there is a NEW LINK (which you can find below) for our sanctuary live-streaming. Not only should it eliminate the streaming glitches, but it will also give us the ability to set the live-stream before Shabbat or a holiday and record what goes on in our sanctuary for future use.
I am also excited that we can use this livestream for our Kol Chadash Musical Service this Shabbat, which begins in our sanctuary at 9:30 am. We have been having a wonderful group singing together and we can't wait to come together in deep song and spiritual connection.
Thank you all for your patience and your help in resolving our issues. A special thanks to our intrepid Executive Director, Stacey Hudson, and our technology guru, Bill Kaufman, for doing the leg work to compare different providers, test the new system, and make sure everything was fully operational before we go live this Shabbat.
We also are aware that our daily minyan will be missing some of its regular participants as people are traveling over the next few weeks. If you are available any morning at 7:00am or evening at 6:00 pm on Zoom (except Thursday and Sunday mornings, which are in person at Kol Rinah), we would greatly appreciate your participation.
Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Scott Shafrin
