We have an amazing things to celebrate this Shabbat at Kol Rinah! Tonight begins Shabbat, as well as the 6th night of Hanukkah, AND Rosh Chodesh Tevet (the start of the new Hebrew month of Tevet). So come enjoy a weekend of unseasonably warm weather with all of your community here at Kol Rinah! I also want to thank all of you who gave to others during this week full of holidays, especially those of you who participated in the Muslim-Jewish Day of Service on Wednesday and also the families who joined us to visit and bring some Hanukkah light to the residents at Mason Pointe.
Tonight at 6:00 pm in the chapel we will be enjoying our Shir Chadash Shabbat, led by Karen Kern and myself, as we join together to sing some new tunes, as well as some familiar melodies used in some new and creative ways. Candle lighting is at 4:29 pm.
Tomorrow morning, we will begin services downstairs in the Mirowitz Auditorium at 9:00 am. We will be reading from three different Torah scrolls (one for Parashat Miketz this week, one for a special Shabbat of Hanukkah reading, and one for Rosh Chodesh), which is one of only a few time ever that this could happen during the year. I’ll be teaching Torah Talk at 10:10am as well as giving the sermon.
Mincha Saturday afternoon is at 3:30 pm and Shabbat ends at 5:32 pm.
This Sunday at Kol Rinah, beginning at 7:30 pm, join the community for a Holiday Happening to mark the final day of Hanukkah. It's a great way to gather together with friends and celebrate! All the details can be found below or on the Kol Rinah website:
It’s a relatively quiet time at Kol Rinah, but with people away, it can be hard to make minyan. If you have some extra time, please consider coming to minyan over the next two weeks, morning or evening. Your presence will really be appreciated.
