      Description: This is the second event of the program The First World War 1914-1918 and Jewish Identities The Scholar in Residence,Devin Naar, is the Marsha and Jay Glaser Chair of Jewish Studies and Professor of Modern Jewish History, Ottoman and Greek History at the University of Washington in Seattle. His topic will be of considerable interest to the Jewish and non- Jewish community. In addition to his presentation at Kol Rinah, he will be appearing at Washington University and at the St. Louis Holocaust Center. Professor Naar has already established himself as an authority on the Jews of Salonika. He was an undergraduate at Washington University and received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2011. He is an engaging speaker.
