Click here for the entire July 2020 Special Voice edition I’ve spent an enormous amount of time over the past three months in our new Kol Rinah home on Maryland Avenue. Really the only places that I’ve been going have been the new building and our old building. I must say that spending time in the new building makes me more and more excited for what our future holds. I envision our beautiful new spaces as community gathering places. I see our Community Hall as a wonderful venue for art events, presentations and offerings from the entire Jewish community, movie nights, wedding and B’nai Mitzvot celebrations, galas; the list goes on and on. How amazing and lucky are we to have built a modern facility to take us into the next generation and beyond. I can visualize our space filled with prayer, study, celebration, learning, community socialization and facilitation of the wonderful work going on in our greater community. I am so very proud of the diligence, hard work and financial support we have devoted to our new facility. We will be able to welcome the surrounding community and the Jewish community at large for invigorating discussion and programming. The opportunity to create such a project presents itself once in a generation or so. That our Kol Rinah community had the vision, foresight and energy to undertake such a monumental task fills my heart and soul. Thanks to all of you for making our dream a reality. May we all stay healthy and protected and may G-d bless us and our new home for years to come.
