July 2018 President's Message

Eighteen months into my Kol Rinah presidency seems a good time to reflect on the hardest job I’ve ever had and the most fulfilling job I’ve ever had. Of course, this moment in time for Kol Rinah is especially exciting, challenging, gratifying and suspense-filled. I am honored to have the opportunity to make a small mark on the future of Kol Rinah and a new Jewish presence in an area where there has been no synagogue for 50 years.

As we prepare for the groundbreaking this summer, new programs and initiatives are blossoming, our redesigned religious school, KoREH (Kol Rinah Education Hub) and our Early Childhood Center are continuing to innovate and we are already planning for a High Holiday season with more options for meaningful experiences than ever before.

All of these wonderful opportunities would not be possible without YOU. Whether you serve on our leadership team, as a member of our talented staff, on a committee, attend services or programs, are involved in the ECC or Religious School, participate in our Men’s Club, Sisterhood or Women’s Social Group, USY or Kadima, attend Torah Talk, Rhythm n’ Ruach, Tot Shabbat or Family Programming, come for daily minyan or Havdalah, attend our special Scholars in Residence programs or weekly Kiddush, or volunteer your time and expertise… YOU are what makes all of this possible.

As a wise individual once said, to paraphrase; Some people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. I am proud and humbled by our community, whether we serve your needs for any or all of the above. And I am grateful to serve you and our community, in the best and toughest job I have ever held. I look forward with awe and devotion to our present and our future.

Zei Gesundt.

Yours warmly,

Randi Mozenter
