Dear Kol Rinah family,
I am writing to you shortly after our annual Congregational meeting at which we elected our new Synagogue officers and eight new Board Directors. I am so thrilled to again have the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of individuals with a diversity of talents, experiences and interests.
Our new Board spans the age range from 20-somethings to 80-somethings, with varied backgrounds and different areas on which they are interested in focusing. I am excited to continue to represent Kol Rinah and work closely with the Board. During this next term we will realize long awaited opportunities as we move into our next home. We are able to move into that home because of the tremendous generosity and vision of so many of you as well as the larger community.
I have been inspired by the dedication of everyone who has worked on this project for so long. To all of you who have already pledged or contributed, thank you so much. Some of our initial donors have added to their pledges, and If you are able to do so, please consider increasing your support. If you have not yet contributed, please consider a meaningful donation. Our new building will be an enduring Jewish presence in the center of the St Louis community for decades to come. Because we are committed to building only what we can prudently afford, your support will determine the level of services and facilities we will be able to offer.
We have passed the milestone five year mark since our merger. We have successfully blended our legacy congregations and now include many new members who only know us as Kol Rinah.
Our committees are busy planning innovative programs, our Early Childhood Center, KoREH (religious school), Young Families cohort and USY are thriving and we are eagerly watching our new Maryland Avenue home rise from the ground. There are new committees, programs and initiatives being formed and even more in the planning. We would love to have, and would be greatly enhanced by, your participation.
I look forward to working with you, learning from you and sharing with you as we move into the next chapter of our history. Thank you all for your engagement and your support.
Warmly,
Randi Mozenter
