Click here for the entire July 2020 Special Voice edition When I came for my first interview at Kol Rinah, one thing stuck out to me. This community was making a commitment to the future. The leadership and staff of this congregation took a look at the resources they have, and decided that it was important to them to make a commitment to young families. But they took it a step further by creating a position that recognizes the fact that it’s not enough to create programming for young families, we must connect them to the rest of the kehilla. The position I ultimately took was carefully crafted to connect our youngest members and their families to the rest of the community through religious school and beyond. The new building will be a fresh start in many ways, but as we have learned these last few months, it is always about the people. I am grateful to be a part of a community that sees the value in building multi-generational community. My goal is to create more opportunities to connect with one another, from Tot Shabbat, to KoREH and beyond, and I look forward to all of your help in this endeavor.
