Summary |
If you missed joining us on the day, here are our greetings from the bimah.
Laura Chaise: We are so happy to see so many of you here today to celebrate Kol Rinah’s New Member Shabbat, which because of the Pandemic was about 2 ½ years overdue. Some of you may still feel new, some of you may feel like you’ve been here forever – either way we encourage everyone here today to introduce themselves to someone they haven’t met before.
It takes a village! That is such a true phrase! This day could not have happened without the leadership of our President, Gary Kodner, our beloved Rabbi Arnow and Rabbi Shafrin, our dedicated Engagement Committee who packed and delivered New Member Bags and made phone calls after the New Member Shabbat invitations went out , our Halls and Catering Committee Barbara Shamir and Marcia Birenbaum who helped plan the menu and Committee members Randy Mozenter, Marian Katz, and Linda Carton who plated today’s delicious Kiddush.
Linda Makler: Also we must thank our Communications Director, Tovah Enger who became our unofficial third chair, Stacey Hudson, our Executive Director, the Kol Rinah Office Staff including – Nancy Greene for printing the invitations and nametags, Micki Kingsley for organizing this beautiful service, and Meir Zimand for creating our spreadsheet, and to Melissa Bellows and the Tot Shabbat families for joining us in this wonderful celebration.
And before Rabbi Arnow calls up the new members for their blessing, I would like to dedicate the following short interactive song to all our congregants.
SHALOM KOL RINAH

Shalom Kol Rinah, well Shalom Kol Rinah
It’s so nice to see you on this Shabbat morn.
You’re lookin’ swell, Kol Rinah, we can tell Kol Rinah
You’re all glowin’ and our rabbis are still goin’ strong
We feel the room prayin’ while we’re all sayin’
All our favorite prayers from Siddur Sim Shalom
So, join us as we chant Torah, maybe even dance hora
Kol Rinah welcomes everyone!!
