Summary |
We were conflicted between wanting to attend all the services for the High Holidays in person and being a little afraid. So, we did what many did, a little of both live stream and in-person. And while in-person had some anxiety, there was so much more feeling of it being the High Holidays and the community that we were thrilled to be a part of. Thank you to Kol Rinah for making both possible.
Sisterhood thanks all who participated in our “Honey from the Heart” fundraiser for Rosh Hashana. Hopefully our Break-the-Fast and Supper in the Sukkah will return in 2022. Thank you to Joyce Olshan for sharing your wonderful Sukkot ideas of ways to celebrate and learn virtually and decorate our homes to simulate a sukkah.
We are no longer having Sisterhood Kiddushes to celebrate simchas. We look forward to that happening in the future. But right now we are depending on Sisterhood memberships and tributes to raise funds for the Congregation. We have sent letters to all women members of Kol Rinah. We hope that you will consider joining/rejoining Sisterhood this year.
Sisterhood Shabbat is planned for January 22, 2022. We hope that in the coming months we will be able to say that 2022 brought normality back to our lives. Our beautiful new building is being used with smaller numbers of congregants attending Shabbat services, but larger numbers than last year. We are thankful for the friendships and learning that have happened in the past and look forward to the future. Sisterhood looks forward to continuing to help the Congregation and its ECC, USY and KoREH. We are thankful to the Congregation for supporting Sisterhood and its mission to help the Shul and all of its parts. We are very thankful.
Looking forward to more,
Linda and Susan
