Summary |
Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and New Years are behind us and it’s time to start thinking about our resolutions for the coming year. We all can make some changes to improve how we live our lives. What changes are you going to make in your life to become a better person?
Attending more services and programs at Kol Rinah is one way to improve your life. There is always room for more attendees at Shabbat services. And talking about Shabbat, please join us for Sisterhood Shabbat on Saturday, January 22 starting at 9:30 a.m. The whole service will be presented by Sisterhood members. It promises to be a very special program. If you would like to take part in the service contact Susan Brown or Linda Carton.
Sisterhood has plans to hold more programs like our last one held in December on “Tankards and Tea Pots” given by Dale Sharon, a SLAM docent. We are always thinking ahead to programs that will not only be interesting but will benefit our membership to help them lead better lives. One thing we are considering is a program for Mother’s Day where you can purchase gifts for mothers. Please contact Susan or Linda or any Sisterhood member with your ideas.
If you aren’t already a member of Sisterhood, we hope you will give thought to joining. We are interested in enriching the lives of not just our members, but the whole Kol Rinah membership. Sisterhood donates significant funds to the Shul by way of Mishloach Manot, funds to USY to allow them to go to conventions and conferences, to the ECC, to KoREH, our religious school, and to our Shul’s Capital Campaign.
We wish you a Happy New Year and may it be a healthy and prosperous one for you.
Cordially,
Susan Brown & Linda Carton, Co-Presidents
