MARCH TORAH FUND LUNCHEON

Thank you to Co-chairs Irene Belsky and Marilyn Dien for the successful luncheon. Our own Rabbi Jessica Shafrin spoke to us about her life as a Rabbi and Rabbi’s wife, and how the Conservative institutions supported by the Women’s League Torah Fund campaign gave her the opportunity to sample several paths on her journey. Thank you, Jessica, and thank you to those whose donations helped us meet our goal again this year.

MARCH WELLNESS PROGRAM

Thank you to Marjorie Feldman for inviting Connie Fisher to speak to us after Kiddush before Passover on how to recognize stress and how to deal with it. It was a timely topic while we were cleaning, shopping, preparing for the Seders and the holiday itself, visiting relatives, housing relatives, and a lot more. It helped many of us arrive at the holiday in better spirits.

INTRACONTINENTAL REGIONAL WOMEN’S LEAGUE CONFERENCE

Those of us who attended the installation dinner at B’nai Amoona on April 30th were very proud as Cindy Ginsburg was installed as President for a three-year term. May she go from strength to strength.

MAY & JUNE SISTERHOOD BOARD MEETINGS

Remember, our meetings are now being held on Sundays. The May meeting will be held on May 27, delayed because of Mother’s Day and Shavuot. It is Memorial Day Weekend. The June meeting will be on June 24. Father’s Day is the Sunday before that. These meetings are open to any Sisterhood member.
