March 2019 Youth

KRSTL USY is gearing up for the annual Purim Carnival! This year we will be bringing Candy Land to life with Candy Land themed booths, costumes, and of course, plenty of candy! You won’t want to miss out on the fun for all ages on Sunday, March 10th, 4-6:30pm. We will have games and prizes, hot dogs, hamburgers, and hamentashen served by Men’s Club, and a silent auction.

USY and Kadima allow our high schoolers and middle schoolers to get involved in Jewish life, develop their Jewish identity, and create community at Kol Rinah. The annual Purim Carnival is USY/Kadima’s biggest fundraiser and allows us to continue to build and grow as a group. It is completely planned, developed and primarily run by our youth. With your support, it opens us up to new programs, experiences and opportunities.

There are several ways to help make this carnival SWEET!

If you are interested in volunteering at the carnival, donating to sponsor a booth, or donating an item for the silent auction, email toby@kolrinahstl.org or visit kolrinahstl.org to fill out the “Purim Carnival: Sponsorship, Donate & Volunteer” form. We appreciate any help you are able to give and will print your name on our thank you wall at the event.

While the Purim Carnival is currently our main focus, we’ve had a lot of other fun activities keeping us busy as well. In January, we enjoyed learning about Jews around the world in a game of Jewpardy, we learned about sustainability and Tu BiSh'vat and up-cycled some old t-shirts into bags, we went ice skating, and we had some pointless debates (if you were wondering, a hotdog is not a sandwich, bagels are better than donuts, pants are better than shorts, and birds are better than dogs).

See you March 10th at the Purim Carnival!
