Summary |
This time of year, our tradition steeps us in tales of journeys and adventure, family and community, and, most critically, of spiritual self-discovery. From the moment we emerge from the High Holidays and start the cycle of Torah anew, we read each week the Torah tales of our ancestors going out into the world and discovering something new about themselves and the nature of their place in this universe.
What’s more, is how incredibly those same epic experiential expeditions are mirrored in the beginning of our school year. Our Kol Rinah Education Hub (KoREH) has been in session for just over a month, but every day is a new and fascinating dive into learning Hebrew, history, culture, ethics, art, Torah, and so much more. Whether they are constructing and decorating tzedakah boxes, weaving their way through an obstacle course with only their knowledge of Hebrew to guide them, or looking at the many different ways our thousands of years of Jewish tradition and opinions from Jewish sages the world round can impact the most difficult issues of today, our students are venturing into deep, rich waters of learning every week.
Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourselves at some of these wonderful learners hard at work!
