Shabbat Shalom from Rabbi Arnow 1/27/2023

Dear Kol Rinah Family,

Here's a
d'var Torah I wrote for the St. Louis Jewish Light this week.  And the photo accompanying the story (found by the Jewish Light staff) is the exact exhibit I refer to in the first paragraph.

Today at noon Rabbi Shafrin will lead Torah Talk on Zoom.

And BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!  Starting next week (February 4), Torah Talk will be back in person!  We'll still do it on Zoom at noon on Fridays, but we'll also do it in person (same material, so don't come twice) on Saturday mornings at 10:15am in the Community Hall every Shabbat except weeks with Kol Chadash.

Candle lighting tonight is at 4:59pm.  Kabbalat Shabbat and Maariv will be in the Chapel at 6pm.  We have some folks saying Kaddish on Friday nights, and a few more people to ensure that we have a minyan would be very welcome if you can make it.

Tomorrow morning we'll start at 9:30am and have our special Kol Chadash service.  We have recordings of much of the music we use for Kol Chadash
on our website here.  We're also excited to introduce one new melody, for Psalm 148 by Joey Weisenberg, which you can get a taste of here.

Mincha will be at 4:50pm on Saturday afternoon, and Shabbat ends at 6:04pm.

Looking ahead a few weeks, we're looking forward to welcoming Hazzan Joanna Dulkin back to Kol Rinah for Shabbat February 17-18.
Details and signup for dinner are here.  Put the whole weekend on your calendar!

See you in shul,
Rabbi Noah Arnow
