Summary |
This is my first article since taking over for Max as president of the Kol Rinah Brotherhood. I’d like to start by thanking Max for how amazing he has been for the past 6 years! Our club has been thriving with wonderful programs for the entire congregation.
Please consider becoming active in our Brotherhood – Kol Rinah Brotherhood is a bunch of Mentches supporting our congregation and our youth through engaging programs which forge bonds and stimulate our intellectual and spiritual selves. It’s also about having fun! Please look for our membership letter. We look forward to you joining us in 2021.
I’m very excited to introduce our new Brotherhood program.
“Wine on the Vine”
Buy your own vine in Israel!
Buy your own vine in Israel!
In the 1950's and 60's, we helped Israel become a strong and fertile country by planting trees throughout the land so that the barren hillsides could, once again, become rich and fertile. (You still can plant trees.)
A younger generation, wants to help Israel take its 'rightful place' in the food and wine world. You can now plant vines which will grow the grapes to make delicious (and kosher) wine. Whether for a special birthday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a wedding, to remember a loved one, or to thank a person in a unique way, purchasing a vine (or more than one) is just a click away.
Ten wineries are currently part of the program. You can purchase a vine for $18.00. Go to this link to learn more. www.fjmc.org/wine-vine
May the year 2021 be much much better then 2020,
In Brotherhood,
Bob Olshan
