ALREADY IT’S TIME FOR THANKSGIVING?!

Where did the year go? It really is true – the older one gets, the faster time flies. But, enough rumination.

The High Holiday Usher Corps is an activity of the Men’s Club. We recruit ushers to assist those attending our High Holiday services so that things run smoothly, and everyone feels welcomed. I would like to thank the following who volunteered this past holiday season and made things run smoothly with welcoming smiles and attention to the needs of worshipers.

In October, the Men’s Club served its last steak in the Sukkah at Hanley Road. Our Steak & Scotch in the Sukkah with a Touch of Talmud was once again a resounding success. We are looking forward to serving steaks in the Sukkah on Maryland Avenue next year.

Backtracking a little more, we welcomed our KoREH kids and parents back to religious school in a fun way with a variety of pancakes, all the trimmings and sticky fingers on September 8.

Looking ahead, we will be introducing Jews & Booze: Torah on Tap, a new opportunity to learn in a relaxed, casual space. Look for details to follow.
