Summary |
As I write, the air is cool and a tiny bit chilly, the leaves in my neighborhood are beginning to change colors, the High Holidays have come and gone in a blur and Sukkot is soon coming to an end. September and October were filled with an incredible amount of planning and hard work and the weeks were filled with services, events and so many beautiful opportunities for community connection. Thank you so much to everyone who planned, helped, volunteered, organized and attended these!
As we are in these early weeks of 5783, it may seem that things are quieting down. However, here at Kol Rinah, we have many ongoing and new opportunities happening in the coming months. Abraham Joshua Heschel said, “To attain a degree of spiritual security one cannot rely upon one’s own resources. One needs an atmosphere, where the concern for the spirit is shared by a community.” What an amazing and beautiful statement and one that I firmly believe Kol Rinah embraces. Our community works passionately to provide an atmosphere where care and concern for everyone’s spiritual and overall well-being is upheld.
Please join us for our musical Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat services, our November Kol Chadash service with three guests from the Rabbinical Assembly, and Veterans Day Shabbat. For our families with young children join us for Tot Shabbat, and for our families with kids in elementary school, join our Kol HaMishpacha Family Shabbat. We also have several Kol Rinah Circles to choose from as well as a documentary movie event “Code Name Ayalon”, a Trans 101 Workshop, and an Israel Democracy and Elections discussion with our shinshin Guy Dobrin…. all happening in November….. So many wonderful ways to come and be supported and connected.
