According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition for the word vibrant is, “pulsating with life, vigor or activity”. I am so thrilled to be part of such a vibrant synagogue community as ours! And Kol Rinah is a hub of activity! From back-to-back amazing Mitzvah Day and Lag B’Omer events in early May, to hosting a wonderful, joint synagogue Shavuot program, to music programs, baby namings, aufrufs, Verein Science programs, KR Maccabee softball games, Family and Tot Shabbats, outstanding Kabbalat Shabbats and our unique and special Kol Chadash service… May and June have been pulsing with Kol Rinah community life and activity!

 

While things may quiet down a tad as our fabulous members get out to enjoy summer vacations and summer activities, our shul community still has some wonderful summer happenings. Our Family and Tot Shabbat services will both continue through the summer and we’ll have another special, music filled Kol Chadash service in August. We also have a series of three Kabbalat Shabbat and Bring Your Own Picnic to Shaw Park events happening in June, July and August. The Kol Rinah Maccabees play softball every Sunday morning through the end of August, at the ball fields at the JCC – come cheer on our team! And of course, we are all super excited for Kol Rinah’s Summerfest event which will take place on August 20th! Please make plans to join us for great music, food and fun! Our music lineup will include a kid’s concert with Ms Karen, followed by the outstanding music talents of KR member Will Soll and friends and we’ll wrap it all up with the fantastic local Jewish Band Shakshuka. There will be Kona Ice, lawn games, kid’s activities, raffles, and more.
