Summary |
In this era of COVID-19, with Kol Rinah Zoom minyanim and classes, we look forward to the High Holidays, although they will not be the Holidays we have known and loved. This year will not include buying a new outfit to start the new year, sitting with friends and fellow congregants. It will be different. But, it will be thoughtful and holy. It will still be the High Holidays. It will also be safe. Our officers and rabbis and the High Holidays Task Force have been working to make it memorable.
Our beautiful new Sanctuary, now ready and waiting for us, will be used in a different way for these High Holidays. But it will still be our beautiful new home, and it is just waiting for us to be able to pray there safely.
Some things we have been able to do from our homes. Both we and ORT thank you for your support of our Honey from the Heart fundraiser. Thank you also for sending Sisterhood Tributes to honor simchas and remember those we have lost.
Sisterhood uses these funds to support the synagogue. We donate to the ECC, the USY, Kol Rinah’s Religious School, the Capital Campaign, Mishloach Manot. We are hoping to continue to do so, and ask for your support in being a member of Sisterhood. The women in the congregation should have received their membership request letter for the 2020-2021 year. Thank you for continuing your membership, or beginning a new membership.
At this season we reflect upon our actions and ask forgiveness from anyone whom we have offended as co-presidents of Sisterhood. We sincerely appreciate your help and encouragement, and look to guide Sisterhood on the giving paths of its past.
L’Shanah Tovah,
Susan and Joyce
