Tonight at services at 6pm in the chapel, we’ll welcome a group of folks from NextDor and the Jewish  Federation’s Young Professionals Division, who will be joining us for kabbalat Shabbat and then having dinner at Kol Rinah afterwards.  Candle lighting is at 8pm.

Please note: the St. Louis Eruv is currently down. It is expected to be repaired before Shabbat. Please call 314-863-1811 after 4pm to check on the status of the Eruv.

We had a spectacular, fun and meaningful Pride Shabbat last week. Thank you to all who came, and a special thank you Rabbi Micah Buck-Yael, for his words of Torah, and to Dean Rosen and Phillip Deitch, for sharing with us some of the history of the struggle for LGBTQ inclusion in the St. Louis Jewish community.

Dear Kol Rinah Family,

Candle lighting tonight is at 8:12pm, and Shabbat ends at 9:18pm. (And the times are the same for next Shabbat too.) Why do I begin with this? This is the latest Shabbat will begin and end this year. So enjoy the "longest" shabbatot of the year the next two weeks!

On the heels of a lovely Shavuot, Shabbat is coming! We'll gather at 6pm in the chapel for Kabbalat Shabbat. Candle lighting is at 8:09pm. Dear Kol Rinah Family, I’ve had a busy week! Tuesday morning I attended a training on creating respectful workplace cultures that the St. Louis Rabbinical and Cantorial Association offered. It was helpful and thought-provoking, and so important for all of us to be thinking about. Dear Kol Rinah Family, Shabbat and Passover are just about here! I hope your preparations have been meaningful. This morning, Wendy Love Anderson made a siyyum (completion ceremony) on a tractate of Talmud, enabling us firstborns to eat, despite it being the fast of the first born.
